How to give a sensual massage

This massage does NOT have to end in intercourse. It can simply be a sensual experience for the two of you, a tease of sorts, and does not have to include any other sexual activity. Touch has incredible healing, grounding and connecting powers.


Entering into a sensual massage without any expectations will help you let go and enjoy it more. Of course, if your massage leads you in other ways, that’s perfect too.

Here’s how to give your partner a sensual massage:


Step 1


Make sure your partner is sitting comfortably in a chair that has space behind it for you, the massager, or lying on their back. No words are necessary as you engage in this massage. Clothes should be loose and comfortable and are altogether optional.


Step 2 1min


Gently place your hands on your partner’s shoulders and establish gentle first warm contact. Take a few deep breaths together and try to synchronize your breathing with each other.


Step 3 1-2 minutes


Gently start rubbing the receiver’s ears. Place your hands on both ears and massage them with your thumb, pointer and index fingers – start at the top and slowly move your way down to the lobe, moving slowly in circles or whatever feels natural. You can also gently tug on the lobes. * For a longer massage, do one ear at a time. *


Do this for one minute (or one minute each ear)


Step 4 1-3 minutes


When you’re ready, massage your partner’s forehead and scalp with your finger tips. Place finger tips in the middle of the forehead and gently sweep across the forehead to the temples, lifting off. Repeat this a few times.


Take your thumbs or index fingers and just gently tap or make circles on the receiver’s forehead.


You can have some fun with the scalp and mimic “shampooing” the hair, gently pulling the hair of the scalp, or just gently rubbing your fingertips through the hair.


Step 5 1-2 mins


If the receiver is lying down, place yourself between their legs or to the side. If the receiver is sitting in a chair, try to “drape” yourself over them or off to the side.


Place your hand just above the receiver’s pubic bone, on their abdomen.

In a clockwise motion, rub gently up to where the ribcage starts and then back down. (It is very very important to stick to a clockwise motion as this is the way we digest.) Normally we don’t put a lot of pressure on the abdomen but check in with your partner and see what they like.


Step 6 1-2 mins


Placing yourself on your partner’s side, sweep your hand(s) from the outside of your partner’s knee up to the thigh. Then down to the ankle and back up to the thigh. You can sweep with one hand or using the one-hand-follows-the-other technique. You can do this a few times until you feel the massage had reached its conclusion.


Final Step as long as you’d like


Finish the way you began. This time place your hands on partner’s heart center (center mid chest, between the breasts) or wrap yourselves in a warm embrace and take some deep breaths together.
